Counter not recording strikes correctly

If you’re worried your counter isn’t registering strikes correctly, it could be worth checking that it’s set up correctly.

The Digital Strike Counter needs to be fixed to the gas canister of your trap. It slides on easily and should sit parallel to the canister. Check that the curved part of the counter sits in line with the curve of the base of the canister, this is critical for getting an accurate recording.

If the counter is pointing to the side or perhaps not pushed onto the gas canister fully, the counter may not record accurately.

Once you ensure the counter is aligned in this way, test fire your trap and check that the counter is recording the strike accurately.

IMPORTANT: The counter will not record a strike when the display screen is still showing the numbers. To test the counter please make sure the display is off when you test fire.

It is also important to note that while Digital Strike Counters were previously available for purchase in Australia, they have been superseded by our exciting smart technology, the Smart cap. Find out more about the benefits of using the Smart cap here.
